"The stage direction, by renowned baritone Juan Salvador Trupia, was widely effective and coherent. His knowledge of the libretto substantiated moments of intimacy in the famous duos, despite the limitations of space. The auditorium, with its logistic and acoustic challenges, was transformed to recreate the exotic atmosphere of Nagasaki. Lighting and costumes complemented the atmosphere, transporting the audiences to the Butterfly universe."
